In 30XX, some unknown irresponsible company dumped a horrific mixture of chemicals into a forest. Creatures began to rapidly mutate, for better and for worse, and these evolutions spread without restraint. 

Our world has been reduced to a select few cities, each of which guarded by professionals hired by the Screen, Intercept, Neutralize Teams. They're ordered to take out any beasts they see, regardless of hostility.
